LeBron James believes modern basketball television coverage spends too little time explaining the game itself and too much time focusing on other topics.

James said he rarely watches pregame or postgame studio shows because he feels they often fail to provide meaningful basketball analysis or help viewers better understand what they are watching.

“I don’t watch a lot of like pre-game shows, post-game shows because just, you know me, you already know how I am about that sh*t,” the player said.

According to the Lakers star, broadcasts should place greater emphasis on breaking down strategy, player decisions, and the finer details of the sport.

“Because they don’t speak about the game enough. There’s not enough knowledge about the game, breaking down the game, the, you know, what it means as a fan to actually learn about the game or what, what we’re watching.”
