LeBron James may have revealed his plans to join the Philadelphia 76ers long before the official announcement, as remarks he made during Fanatics Fest in New York City have resurfaced following Friday’s news.

During a live episode of Mind The Game, guest co-host Tyrese Haliburton asked James a question that now appears especially fitting.

“What are you going on, year 76??” Haliburton asked.

James laughed and responded that it was more like year 79 before admitting they had discussed the topic before taking the stage, leading many to believe the reference was intentional.

James also caught fans’ attention during an appearance on The Shop, where he twice used the 76ers’ famous slogan while discussing his free agency.

“Trust The Process.”

The crowd immediately reacted, viewing it as a strong hint that Philadelphia would be his next destination.

James and co-hosts quickly downplayed the moment, but the comments now look far more significant in hindsight.

James has since agreed to join a 76ers team led by Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown after Philadelphia was swept by the eventual champion New York Knicks in last season’s Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Many see the move as another chance for the four-time champion to compete for another NBA title.
