Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets is expected to sit out Game 4 against the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told ESPN.
Durant is dealing with a bone bruise in his sprained ankle, an injury that would typically sideline a player for 2 to 3 weeks during the regular season.
Although he has undergone constant treatment in hopes of playing, he has not yet been cleared by doctors.
Durant has played 18 seasons for 5 teams, including the Thunder and Suns. He has averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,201 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 15 All-Star games. He has won the Rookie of the Year award, 1 MVP award, 2 Finals MVP awards and 2 NBA championships.
