Highly regarded prospect Hannes Steinbach has officially entered the 2026 NBA draft, according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.

The German-born forward impressed during his only season with the University of Washington, putting up strong numbers across the board.

In 30 starts, he averaged 18.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting an efficient 57.7 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range.

At 6-foot-11, Steinbach is viewed as a likely first-round selection. Givony projects him as a top-20 pick, while ESPN’s Jeremy Woo currently ranks him No. 15 on his big board.

Elsewhere, Jayden Quaintance has also declared for the 2026 draft, announcing his decision on social media.

The University of Kentucky sophomore is still considered a potential first-round pick despite dealing with ongoing knee problems.

Quaintance averaged 9.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.1 steals per game as a freshman at Arizona State University before suffering a torn ACL and meniscus in his right knee.

Those lingering issues limited him to just four games this past season at Kentucky. The 6-foot-10 forward/center is currently ranked No. 20 overall by ESPN.
