
Finuge have won the Junior Club Football Championship title.
In the final at Austin Stack Park in Tralee they beat Knocknagoshel 13 points to 12.
Finuge had the opening point of the decider. Darragh Conway doubled the advantage after 7 minutes. It was 2 points to 1 after quarter of an hour. An Edmond Walsh two pointer had Knocknagoshel in front after 16 minutes. A Shane Conway point had Finuge level. It was Knocknagoshel 0-6 Finuge 0-5 entering the closing moments of the period before Ivan Conway pointed Finuge level at 6 points apiece.
It was 9 all at the 3/4 stage. Gavin O’Keeffe pointed Finuge in front. A John Bell two pointer put Knocknagoshel out in front at 11 points to 10. With 6 minutes to go it was 12 all. The last score of the game, the wining point for Finuge, was scored by Jamie Galvin in the 56th minute.
