Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was arrested Thursday night in Milwaukee after being accused of driving while under the influence.
The 46-year-old CBS Sports analyst performed poorly on field sobriety tests during a traffic stop shortly after 6 p.m. on Interstate 43, according to the arrest-detention report obtained by The Independent.
He was booked on OWI and later released. Romo’s court date is set for September 21 at 8:30 a.m.
This incident remains under investigation, and a further statement could come later Friday, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said.
This is the Burlington, Wisconsin, native’s first arrest. A first-offense OWI in Wisconsin is typically a civil offense punishable by a $150 to $300 fine.
