The Golden State Warriors are adding another undrafted prospect after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with former Wisconsin guard Nick Boyd.
Boyd spent six collegiate seasons due to COVID-19 eligibility and a redshirt year, playing for Florida Atlantic, San Diego State, and Wisconsin before entering the NBA Draft.
His final season was the most productive of his career, as the 6-foot-1 guard averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 48.0 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
Although he entered the professional ranks at 25 years old, Boyd remained a well-regarded draft prospect, earning top-70 rankings from several evaluators because of his scoring ability and experience.
The Exhibit 10 agreement allows Boyd to compete for a two-way contract during training camp or continue his development with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s G League affiliate.
If he is waived and spends at least 60 days with Santa Cruz, he would also be eligible for the Exhibit 10 bonus.
