Phoenix and Oklahoma City open their first-round series at Paycom Center with availability concerns on both sides shaping the Game 1 outlook.
The matchup is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, with the Thunder holding home-court advantage after finishing 64-18 in the regular season. The Suns enter the series at 45-37 and arrive after a recent 135-103 road win over Oklahoma City earlier this month.
Phoenix’s injury report features two key rotation names. Grayson Allen is listed as questionable due to a left hamstring strain, while Mark Williams is also questionable with left foot soreness.
Allen’s status directly affects Phoenix spacing, as he has averaged 16.5 points per game while shooting 34.9% from three on 8.9 attempts. His perimeter volume is a key part of the Suns’ half-court structure.
Without full availability, Phoenix may need to lean more on Devin Booker, who leads the team with 26.1 points and 6.0 assists per game on 45.6% shooting from the field this season.
Mark Williams’ presence is equally significant in the paint, where he averages 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 64.4% from the field. His rim finishing and rebounding would be important against Oklahoma City’s frontcourt depth.
On the Thunder side, Thomas Sorber is the only confirmed absence. He remains out following right ACL surgical recovery and has not been part of the rotation during the season.
Oklahoma City continues to be led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who averages 31.1 points and 6.6 assists per game on 55.3% shooting. Jalen Williams adds 17.1 points and 5.5 assists, while Chet Holmgren contributes 17.1 points and 8.9 rebounds with 1.9 blocks per game.
The season series between these teams finished 3-2 in favor of Oklahoma City.
