Shelbourne are reportedly set to hold talks with Sligo Rovers manager John Russell over their vacant managerial position.
The League of Ireland champions have received permission from Sligo to approach the 41-year-old, according to the Examiner.
Russell remains under contract with the Bit O’Red, so a compensation deal would have to be agreed.
