Sasha Vezenkov finished the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season as the competition’s leading scorer, securing the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy with 19.4 points per game, the league announced on Saturday. The Olympiacos forward totaled 661 points across 34 games to claim the award in a race that remained undecided until the final round.
The 30-year-old became the fourth player in EuroLeague history to win the scoring title multiple times. He previously captured the award in the 2022-23 season, when he also earned MVP honors.
Vezenkov’s scoring consistency separated him from the field. He reached double figures in 33 of 34 games and scored at least 20 points on 19 occasions, a production profile that reflects high usage with efficient shot selection.
His most productive stretch came between Rounds 19 and 23, when he scored 24 or more points in five straight games. That run shifted the scoring race, allowing him to overtake Kendrick Nunn and Nadir Hifi late in the season.
Nunn, who won the award last year, finished second at 19.0 points per game. Hifi placed third at 18.9, followed by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot with 18.2 and Carsen Edwards at 17.3.
Vezenkov’s efficiency metrics reinforced his scoring volume. He shot 62.5% on two-pointers, 39.6% from three-point range, and 89.2% from the free-throw line, putting him close to a 50-40-90 season.
His season-high performance came in Round 13, when he scored 29 points against Crvena Zvezda. That output aligned with his role as a primary option in Olympiacos’ half-court offense.
Olympiacos finished the regular season with a 26-12 record, the best in the league standings. Vezenkov’s scoring gravity played a central role in maintaining offensive efficiency across different lineup combinations.
The Alphonso Ford Trophy remains the only EuroLeague award determined solely by statistical output. It is named after Alphonso Ford, who led the competition in scoring twice and holds the all-time scoring average record at 22.2 points per game.
By joining Igor Rakocevic, Keith Langford, and Alexey Shved as multi-time winners, Vezenkov adds another milestone to his EuroLeague résumé. His previous honors include three All-EuroLeague First Team selections and the 2025 Playoffs MVP award.
