The Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic head into Game 3 of their first-round series with very different availability pictures. Detroit has no players listed on its injury report, while Orlando lists Jonathan Isaac as doubtful with a left knee sprain for Saturday’s 1:00 p.m. ET matchup at Kia Center in Orlando.
For the Pistons, a clean report matters because their main rotation should be fully available around Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, Tobias Harris and the rest of the core. Cunningham finished the regular season at 23.9 points and 9.9 assists per game, while Duren posted 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds.
Orlando’s frontcourt situation is the bigger storyline. Isaac’s status is the only name on the report, and his doubtful tag leaves the Magic with a potential defensive gap against Detroit’s downhill attack and paint pressure.
That matters in a series where the two teams already know each other well. They split their four regular-season meetings 2-2 and are now tied 1-1 in the playoff series.
The Magic still have plenty of firepower even if Isaac is unavailable. Paolo Banchero averaged 22.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists, Desmond Bane put up 20.1 points with 4.1 assists, and Franz Wagner scored 20.6 points in 34 games.
