The Orlando Magic were eliminated in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs after surrendering a 3-1 series lead to the Detroit Pistons.

Changes are expected this offseason, though they are unlikely to impact the front office.

Jeff Weltman is expected to remain in his position as president of basketball operations after reportedly agreeing to a contract extension earlier in the regular season.

However, the team has already made a major move by parting ways with head coach Jamahl Mosley following the playoff defeat.

His status had been uncertain after a disappointing regular season.

Since Weltman took over basketball operations in 2017, Orlando has reached the playoffs five times in nine seasons, compiling a 310-409 regular-season record.

Despite those appearances, the franchise has yet to move past the first round during his tenure.
