The Denver Nuggets are signing former SMU guard Boopie Miller to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Marc Stein.
Stein reported Tuesday that Miller, who played for the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2026 NBA Summer League, received a training camp invitation from Denver and is expected to sign his Exhibit 10 deal this week.
Miller spent his final two college seasons at SMU after beginning his career at Central Michigan and spending the 2023-24 season at Wake Forest. He finished his five-year college career averaging 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists over 130 games, including 128 starts.
His strongest statistical season came in 2025-26 with SMU. Miller averaged 19.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33 games while shooting 46.5% from the field, 41.4% from three-point range and 86.6% from the free-throw line.
Miller also averaged 2.0 made three-pointers per game on 4.9 attempts, giving him a combination of scoring and playmaking that Denver can evaluate during camp.
His three-point shooting improved significantly during his final college season. After making 34.1% from beyond the arc at SMU in 2024-25, Miller connected on 41.4% of his attempts the following season.
Miller saw limited action during the Bucks’ 2026 Summer League campaign, appearing in three games and averaging 4.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steal in 9.4 minutes per game. He shot 26.7% from the field while making 37.5% of his three-point attempts.
The Exhibit 10 agreement gives Miller an opportunity to compete for a roster or G League opportunity as Denver prepares for the 2026-27 season.
The Nuggets are looking to add depth after a busy offseason that included the departures of Peyton Watson, Tim Hardaway Jr., Jalen Pickett, David Roddy and Jonas Valanciunas. Denver also added veterans such as DeMar DeRozan, Tyus Jones, Marvin Bagley III and Lonnie Walker IV.
Denver finished 54-28 during the 2025-26 regular season before losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in the first round of the playoffs.
