With LeBron James unsure about his future after being eliminated from the playoffs recently, in his 23rd season, many basketball analysts have debated whether James should retire or not.

In speaking of an exclusive interview with Had Rock Bet, Metta World Peace talked about LeBron James still playing at a high level at the age of 41, leading his team into the Western semifinals.

“I think LeBron’s face should be on the quarter or some other coin or note in currency. What he’s doing is historic. It’s impactful, motivating, and just so positive,” Metta said, per Hard Rock Bet.

Metta emphasizes that James is still in shape to compete at a high level, especially in the leadership role, still on peak.

“He’s not slowing down at all. Right now, he’s coasting. The game is like an easy layup for him. He can do it for another five years. In a few years, he might not be a top-10 or top-20 player, but he’d still be a hell of a role player because he’s still so strong, and he’s so smart.”

However, the 41-year-old superstar might have recently been considering retirement, as being still unsure about his future as he heads to free agency.

“I don’t know [what’s next]. Obviously it’s still fresh from losing,” he said. “I don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds for me obviously as it stands right now, tonight,” James said during a post-game interview.
