The Orlando Magic face the Philadelphia 76ers in a high-stakes play-in matchup on Wednesday night, with the winner securing the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket. The game is set for 7:30 PM ET at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

The stakes are clear for both teams, with postseason positioning on the line and rotations heavily influenced by availability on both sides.

Orlando Magic enter the matchup with a mixed injury report that includes one confirmed availability and two uncertain statuses. Wendell Carter Jr. is available despite a nasal fracture, wearing a protective face mask.

Jett Howard is listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain, while Jonathan Isaac is also questionable due to a left knee sprain. Both decisions remain dependent on pregame evaluations.

Orlando’s core production has leaned on consistency from Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane, with Franz Wagner also playing a major offensive role throughout the season.

On the other side, Philadelphia 76ers will be without Joel Embiid, who remains sidelined during post-appendectomy recovery. Johni Broome is also out following right knee surgery recovery.

Tyrese Maxey is available despite a right finger tendon strain and is expected to play with a splint. Trendon Watford is probable as he manages an illness leading into tip-off.

Philadelphia has won its last two games, including a 126-106 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday and a 105-94 win over Indiana on Friday.

Orlando, meanwhile, split its final two games, beating Chicago 127-103 before dropping a 113-108 loss to Boston on Sunday. That makes Wednesday’s game a reset point after a regular season that ended with the Magic and 76ers both at 45-37.

The matchup history also leans toward volatility. Orlando and Philadelphia split their two most recent regular-season meetings in 2025-26, with the Magic winning 144-103 in an NBA Cup game on Nov. 25 and the 76ers taking the other two games, 136-124 on Oct. 27 and 103-91 on Jan. 9.
