Liverpool are in advanced talks with Andoni Iraola to become the club’s new manager.
The club is keen to make an appointment at the earliest possible opportunity.
It’s reported Liverpool want a manager who fits their preferred playing style, which is to deliver ‘front-foot, aggressive football’.
Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Dalglish had planned to keep the news private but confirmed it after accidentally sharing it in a social media post.
The former striker and manager of the Merseysiders added that the treatment is going well.
Dalglish scored 167 goals in 320 appearances for Celtic before going on to make 515 appearances for Liverpool where he won over 30 trophies as player and manager.
