After weeks of free-agency speculation and time spent golfing, traveling and relaxing with family, LeBron James appears to be fully focused on basketball again.
The four-time NBA champion shared a workout photo on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, showing himself at the free-throw line with new Philadelphia 76ers teammate Tyrese Maxey in the background.
LeBron captioned the image, “We 🔒 IN! Rese for President 🫡”.
James and Maxey have a close relationship through Klutch Sports Group, and that connection was viewed as one of the reasons Philadelphia emerged as a serious contender to sign the veteran forward in free agency.
Now teammates, the two are expected to play major roles for a 76ers team that also features Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown, giving head coach Nick Nurse one of the NBA’s most talented rosters.
While balancing several high-scoring stars will be a challenge, Philadelphia believes James’ leadership and playmaking can help maximize the team’s championship aspirations.
