Lauri Markkanen delivered another strong performance for Finland, recording a double-double in a convincing 96-67 road victory over Estonia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers.
Markkanen needed just over 25 minutes to finish with 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
He connected on three of his five attempts from beyond the arc, committed no turnovers and posted an efficiency rating of 26.
Estonia controlled much of the first half and built an eight-point advantage late in the second quarter.
Finland responded before the break, however, taking a 38-35 lead into halftime.
The game changed completely after the restart. Finland dominated the third quarter 28-11, opening a comfortable advantage that Estonia was unable to overcome.
Olivier Nkamhoua added 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals for Finland, while Edon Maxhuni also scored 18 points and made four three-pointers.
Miro Little contributed 15 points. Kristian Kullamae paced Estonia with 15 points and five assists.
The victory improved Finland to 5-3 in Group L, while Estonia fell to 3-5.
