
Anthony Edwards is now on track to play in Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs, as long as there are no issues during pregame, according to ESPN sources.
Only nine days removed from his left knee injury, Edwards has progressed faster than originally expected, as the Minnesota Timberwolves had initially projected a return later in the series.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star has already been medically cleared after undergoing several treatments in recent days, including sessions in a hyperbaric chamber to speed up recovery.
Edwards is expected to go through his normal pregame routine with the intention of playing, with his quick improvement over the last 24 hours putting him in position to suit up for the series opener.
