Here’s Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault on the strong leadership qualities he notices from soon-to-be 24-year-old Jaylin Williams.

(via Oklahoma City Thunder):

“Well, I think, what you guys see: he’s a tremendous team guy. And the thing that’s always amazed me about him as a teammate is his relatability with everybody on the team. There’s literally no one that he doesn’t have a connection with, and that’s been true of every minute that he’s been here. He’s really got a gift for that. I think it just comes down to how good of a person he is on that part. But then the other part of that, there’s a lot of guys that are good teammates, but they’re not monster competitors.

“This guy’s a monster competitor, and I think that’s what gives him a lot of credibility and equity in the locker room is there’s no moment that’s too big for him. He loves competing. He’s not backing down from any challenge. And so, when the lights are on, he’s ready to go. And I think the combination of that plus the level of teammate that he is, gives him a unique voice in the locker room despite the fact that he is younger in his career.”
