The Toronto Raptors’ Game 3 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers had been fueled by a standout performance from Scottie Barnes, as noted by Eric Koreen of The Athletic.
Barnes put up 33 points and dished out 11 assists while committing just one turnover, leading the Raptors to a 126-104 victory and stopping the Cavs from going up 3-0 in the opening-round series.
“What he does is just so special,” teammate Jamison Battle said. “We have to play to that level every single night just because our leader is doing it. That’s what you want from your leader.”
The showing had been even more notable considering Immanuel Quickley was unavailable and later ruled out for the rest of the series with a hamstring injury, while Brandon Ingram continued to struggle, finishing with only 12 points in that game.
