In the race for the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year award, the Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves finished as the top contenders behind the winner.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won decisively, receiving 96 of 100 possible first-place votes from the media panel.

Murray narrowly edged Edwards for second place, holding the advantage in second-place votes despite Edwards appearing on more overall ballots.

Ten players in total received votes for the award. This marks the fourth year the NBA has handed out the Clutch Player of the Year honor.

The New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson won it last season and finished fifth in this year’s voting.
