The Trail Blazers are giving former Pittsburgh wing Barry Dunning an opportunity to compete for a roster spot after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with the undrafted rookie.

Dunning is expected to join Portland’s Summer League team in Las Vegas and will also receive an invitation to training camp later this year.

The 6-foot-6 guard is coming off a productive season at Pittsburgh, where he averaged 12.5 points and 5.9 rebounds while serving as a regular starter.

Before finishing his college career with the Panthers, Dunning spent time at Arkansas, UAB, and South Alabama, showcasing his versatility across multiple programs.

Although he was not considered one of the top draft prospects in this class, Portland sees enough potential to bring him into camp and evaluate him further.

The Exhibit 10 deal gives Dunning a chance to earn a two-way contract or continue his development with the Rip City Remix, the organization’s G League affiliate.
