Mona McSharry claimed a bronze medal in last night’s 50 metres breaststroke at the European Aquatics Championships.
The third place finish meant the Sligo swimmer added to her bronze medal in the 200 metres breaststroke and the silver medal she won in the 100 metres breaststroke earlier in the week.
Despite finishing fourth in the 200 metres butterfly final last night, Ellen Walshe can look back on a campaign where she was crowned double European champion in the 400 metres and 200 metres individual medley events.

Team Ireland brought home five medals overall – shared between Walshe and McSharry.
