The Phoenix Suns have exercised the 2027–28 rookie-scale team option on center Khaman Maluach, extending the young big man’s contractual commitment to the franchise.
The 7-foot-1 center completed his rookie campaign with 46 appearances, recording averages of 3.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.
Maluach is expected to receive an increased role in Phoenix’s rotation this season, with starting center Mark Williams set to miss the beginning of the campaign.
Williams’ absence should provide the second-year big man with additional playing time and an opportunity to establish himself as a more regular contributor.
Phoenix also exercised the fourth-year team option on forward Ryan Dunn as part of its latest roster decisions.
