Several European national teams have announced their plans for the upcoming FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifying window, with roster decisions beginning to take shape ahead of important games later this summer.

Slovenia men’s national basketball team will continue its qualifying campaign without Luka Doncic, who was left off the roster for family reasons.

Slovenia currently sits atop Group H with a 3-1 record and will rely on experienced players such as Edo Muric and Vlatko Cancar, who return to the national team setup.

Key contributors, including Klemen Prepelic, Alen Omic, and Ziga Samar, are also expected to play major roles against Estonia and Sweden.

Meanwhile, Italy men’s national basketball team has opened its summer preparations under head coach Luca Banchi.

The initial training camp roster includes Matteo Spagnolo and Gabriele Procida, while Simone Fontecchio is expected to join the squad later in the qualification cycle.

Finland men’s national basketball team has taken a broad approach by inviting 42 players to its annual open gym camp.

The group is led by Lauri Markkanen and also features several key national team regulars, including Mikael Jantunen, Sasu Salin, Alexander Madsen, Edon Maxhuni, and Elias Valtonen.
