Sisters Aoife and Lisa O’Rourke have both secured medals at the European Boxing Championships.
Aoife, the reigning middleweight world champion, is through to the semi-finals after edging past Agata Kaczmarska of Poland on a split decision.
While Lisa got a unanimous decision victory over England’s Emily Asquith in the last-eight of the light-heavyweight division.

Earlier there three Irish boxers suffered defeats quarter-finals
Olympian Jack Marley lost 4-1 to Georgia’s Georgii Kushitashvli in their heavyweight medal bout.
Evelyn Idhare suffered a unanimous defeat to England’s Chantelle Reid at light-middleweight.

And Daina Moorehouse was edged out on a split decision in her flyweight quarter-final with Laura Fuertes Fernandez of Spain.
