Rathmore are the Senior Club football champions.

In the final in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney they defeated Dr Crokes 2-10 to 0-12.

The opening score did not arrive until the 11th minute, a Fionn Murphy goal for Rathmore. Rathmore added a point, before Crokes finally got their opening point in the 15th minute. A Micheal Burns 2 pointer brought Crokes within one.

The 19th minute saw both teams reduced to 14; Micheal Burns of Crokes receiving a red card and Rathmore’s Cathal Ryan a black card.
Rathmore led 1-4 to 0-5 with 5 minutes left in the half. At the break it was 1-4 to 0-6.
A Brendan O’Keeffe 2 pointer extended the Rathmore lead to 3. Crokes were then awarded a penalty following a foul on Evan Looney. However, Tony Brosnan sent the spot kick over the bar. Crokes made it a 1 point game by the 40 minute mark at 1-7 to 0-9. Rathmore had the next 2 points to go 3 clear after 44 minutes. John Moynihan punched home to double the advantage-Crokes argued that the player was in the square before the ball but the goal stood. That goal made it 2-9 to 0-9 in the 47th minute. Croke had the next 3 points to halve that deficit after 58 minutes. Rathmore scored the final point of the encounter seconds out from the hooter.
