The Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka was asked what he wants to see from Kevin Durant ahead of Game 2 and pointed to a key factor.
“I would say mobility probably,” he said, via The Athletic’s Will Guillory. “The pain tolerance is one thing, but actually moving and feeling comfortable doing all the movements is going to be the biggest thing.”
Without Durant in the lineup, Houston had trouble generating consistent offense, shooting just 37.6% from the field and going 17-for-25 at the free throw line.
ESPN’s Shams Charania also noted that the Rockets are hopeful Kevin Durant will be able to play, but his availability will depend on how his leg responds leading up to Tuesday’s 10:30 pm ET tip-off.
Durant has played 18 seasons for 5 teams, including the Thunder and Suns.
He has averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,201 regular-season games.
The 7-footer was selected to play in 15 All-Star games.
He has won the Rookie of the Year award, 1 MVP award, 2 Finals MVP awards and 2 NBA championships.
