The Houston Rockets are expected to bring back head coach Ime Udoka and general manager Rafael Stone for next season, according to sources who spoke with Kelly Iko of Yahoo! Sports.
Following consecutive 50-win campaigns, ownership remains encouraged by the direction of the team.
There’s also internal belief that, with healthy seasons from Steven Adams, Fred VanVleet, and Kevin Durant, the Rockets could challenge elite teams like the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Houston is also expected to actively explore roster upgrades this offseason.
There has reportedly been some regret about not adding a guard or a big man at the trade deadline, while buyout targets ultimately remained with their teams.
Among the high-profile names linked to Houston this summer are Kawhi Leonard, Donovan Mitchell, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid.
