PAOK BC is reportedly finalizing a two-year contract with veteran guard Nick Calathes, according to Eurohoops sources.
The move would bring Calathes back to Greece for the first time since leaving Panathinaikos B.C. in 2020.
The 37-year-old is expected to strengthen PAOK both domestically and in European competition beginning next season.
Calathes remains the EuroLeague’s all-time leader in assists and steals across 402 career appearances.
His résumé includes a EuroLeague title with Panathinaikos in 2011 and a EuroCup championship with Lokomotiv Kuban, where he also won MVP honors in 2012-13.
The veteran guard also played 139 NBA games with the Memphis Grizzlies before later spending time with FC Barcelona Bàsquet, Fenerbahçe Beko, AS Monaco Basket, and KK Partizan.
Calathes is also expected to provide leadership and mentorship for PAOK’s younger players, including Nasos Bazinas.
