The Indiana Pacers have a strong interest in Kelly Oubre Jr. in free agency, according to Grant Afseth. Oubre is coming off a season with the Philadelphia 76ers in which he averaged 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 46.7% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range.

Oubre, 30, played the 2025-26 season on a two-year, $16.3 million contract. The veteran wing enters free agency after providing Philadelphia with consistent scoring and perimeter production during a season in which the 76ers finished 45-37 and reached the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The 11-year NBA veteran has built a reputation as a versatile scoring forward who can create offense, attack closeouts and defend multiple positions. Over his career, Oubre has averaged 13.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 705 games, including 352 starts. His best scoring season came in 2022-23 with the Charlotte Hornets, when he averaged 20.3 points per game.

His 2025-26 season was one of his more efficient campaigns. Oubre posted a career-best 54.6% effective field goal percentage while maintaining a 31.5-minute role. He converted 55.1% of his two-point attempts and averaged 1.4 steals per game, adding defensive activity to his offensive contributions.

Oubre has played for five franchises during his career, including the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Hornets and 76ers.
