OG Anunoby’s biggest season in New York has reportedly opened the door to a new milestone off the court, with Skechers confirming that a signature basketball shoe for the Knicks forward is in development.
Skechers Basketball president Michael Greenberg told Solo Retriever that Anunoby’s signature model is being worked on after the 2025-26 season saw the forward play a major role in the Knicks winning their first NBA championship in 53 years.
“It’s too early to share specific details, but we do have a signature shoe in the works,” Greenberg said. “Anyone, anywhere who wants to play like OG knows they need Comfort that Performs.”
Anunoby became one of the defining players of New York’s playoff run, averaging 20.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks in 17 postseason games. He shot 49.5% from the field while playing 34.5 minutes per game as the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the NBA Finals.
His most memorable moment came in Game 4 of the Finals, when his late tip-in gave New York the lead and helped the Knicks take a 3-1 advantage before closing out the championship in five games.
The timing also follows a breakout partnership between Anunoby and Skechers. The 28-year-old forward signed with the brand in July 2025 but had already been wearing Skechers models before the agreement became official. During the playoffs, he wore multiple player-exclusive editions, including a Knicks-themed SKX Nexus colorway during his Finals-clinching run.
Anunoby’s rise with Skechers mirrors the brand’s expansion into basketball. Skechers Basketball entered the NBA with a roster of players and already launched a signature line for Joel Embiid, whose Skechers SKX JE 1 debuted in December 2025.
On the court, Anunoby’s production supported his growing profile. During the regular season, he averaged 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.7 blocks in 67 games, all starts. He was a key part of a Knicks team that finished 53-29, earned the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, and advanced through the playoffs behind a balanced rotation.
The signature shoe is expected to arrive after Skechers completes development, meaning a potential release window could come in 2027 or later.
