NBA advertising revenue reaches record $2.11 billion

The NBA generated a record $2.11 billion in advertising revenue from game coverage during the 2025-26 season, according to Guideline.

The total represented a 38% increase from the previous season’s $1.53 billion, giving the league’s media partners an additional $580 million in advertising sales.

Regular-season broadcasts accounted for $870 million, a 74% year-over-year increase, while playoff coverage produced another $987.9 million.

The five-game NBA Finals, which saw the New York Knicks capture their first championship since 1973, generated $256.1 million.

That was 39% higher than the previous year’s Finals between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

ABC/ESPN led the league’s media partners with $824.5 million in total advertising sales.

NBC Sports generated $782.2 million, while Prime Video brought in $507.4 million during its first season carrying NBA games.
