The New York Knicks continued their impressive postseason run in dominant fashion Monday night, overwhelming the Philadelphia 76ers with a 137-98 victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
New York’s offense operated at an elite level from start to finish, as the Knicks converted 53 of their 84 field goal attempts in one of their most efficient playoff performances in recent memory.
The team consistently created high-quality looks, moved the ball effectively, and overwhelmed Philadelphia on both ends of the floor.
Following the victory, head coach Mike Brown praised the collective effort and commitment his players have shown toward executing the team’s overall philosophy.
“It’s a lot of fun when you have concepts on either end of the floor and guys are trying to embrace those concepts at the highest level,” Brown said, per James Edwards III of The Athletic.
“When they do, it doesn’t really matter what you call or initiates the action because guys are trying to play the right way. It can be any team out on the floor.
“If they’re trying to embrace what you’re throwing out there, sacrificing, all of that other stuff, it can be a lot of fun to watch.”
