
Mark Cuban expressed interest in regaining ownership of the Dallas Mavericks, but acknowledged that it’s no longer a realistic possibility.
“If there was any chance of being able to do that anymore I would, but that’s just not the game anymore,” Cuban told Front Office Sports.
Cuban originally purchased the Mavericks in 2000 and transformed the franchise into a consistent contender, highlighted by their 2011 championship led by Dirk Nowitzki.
He became known as one of the league’s most hands-on and outspoken owners before eventually selling a majority stake while remaining involved with the team.
