Friday’s Basketball Champions League Season X Awards Ceremony became a celebration of the competition’s entire history as the league commemorated its tenth anniversary during Final Four weekend in Badalona.

The event, held between the semifinal games and the title matchup at Palau Municipal d’Esports de Badalona, recognized many of the standout names who have defined the BCL over the past decade.

Alongside the regular season awards, the league introduced its official Team of the Decade to honor the players who made the biggest impact throughout the competition’s first ten seasons.

The First Team selections were Giorgi Shermadini, Vojtech Hruban, Kendrick Perry, Kevin Punter and Marcelinho Huertas. The Second Team included Joe Ragland, Vitor Benite, Levi Randolph, Tim Abromaitis and Dejan Kravic.

Another major honor went to Tenerife coach Txus Vidorreta, who was selected as the league’s Coach of the Decade after years of success in the competition.

Pierre-Antoine Gillet also received special recognition for becoming the only player to participate in every season since the Basketball Champions League was launched.

According to the league, the awards and decade honors were decided through a combined voting process involving clubs, coaches, players, media representatives, fans and BCL officials.
