Laver Cup 2026: How does Europe vs World event work – and are London tickets still available?

Team Europe and Team World will contest the ninth edition of the Laver Cup this weekend at The O2 in east London.

The annual event, first held in 2017, sees six-man teams take each other on in a Ryder Cup-style event on indoor hard courts.

While Europe have won five of the eight editions so far, Team World have won three of the last four events, including last year’s showdown in San Francisco.

Among the European stars (captained by Yannick Noah) playing this weekend are Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, while Team World (captained by Andre Agassi) are led by Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2026 Laver Cup.

The event sees three days of competitive action, with three singles and one doubles match per day split into two different sessions for the first two days: afternoon and evening.

There are different points on offer per day: one point for each match contested on Friday, two points for Saturday matches and three points for Sunday matches.

The first team to 13 points wins, with a “decider” one-set doubles match played if the teams are deadlocked at 12-12 at the end. In the event that only one match is required on Sunday, an exhibition match will be played following the trophy ceremony.

All matches are best-of-three tie-break sets, with a 10-point tie-break instead of a full third set.
