Jayson Tatum dealt with some discomfort during the Boston Celtics’ Game 6 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, repeatedly stretching his left calf before eventually leaving the game in the third quarter.
He later remained active on the sideline, riding the exercise bike as he managed the soreness.
Even with the issue, Tatum doesn’t anticipate missing time and is planning to be available for Game 7 back in Boston.
“I expect to play,” Tatum said. “It was my other leg, not the one I injured last year. I mean, I wasn’t like overly concerned.”
The injury is unrelated to the Achilles tear he suffered in his right leg during last year’s playoffs, which is why he remains confident it won’t keep him out of the decisive game.
