Jaylen Brown revealed that he earned $50 million last season but prefers not to keep large amounts of money in his bank account.
During a recent interview, Brown discussed his NBA earnings and explained why he believes wealthy individuals often prioritize other forms of value over holding cash.
Q: “What was the most amount of money that you made in a single year?”
Jaylen: “I guess last season.”
Q: “How much?”
Jaylen: “I made $50 million last year.”
The conversation then turned to how Brown manages his finances. The Sixers forward said he does not maintain a particularly large bank balance, suggesting that many wealthy people take a similar approach.
Q: “Do you keep a lot of money in the bank?”
Jaylen: “No. And the richest people never do. Because they understand that money is just paper. I think that what people value the most is subjective. But a lot of the richest people, social capital is what they’re after.”
