Haywood Highsmith is returning to the Phoenix Suns after agreeing to a new one-year contract with the organization.
Phoenix released Highsmith last week while he was playing under a deal that included a $1 million partial guarantee on his $3 million salary.
The two sides have now reached another agreement that will keep the veteran forward with the Suns.
Highsmith played seven games for Phoenix last season, averaging 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per appearance.
He originally joined the Suns in February after being waived by the Brooklyn Nets.
The veteran had also undergone knee surgery during the 2025 offseason.
Before his recent stops in Brooklyn and Phoenix, Highsmith spent the 2024-25 season with the Miami Heat.
He appeared in 74 games that year, averaging 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.6 minutes per game.
