Phoenix Suns shooting guard Grayson Allen was recently asked if the team considers 2025-26 a highly successful season when compared to last year (45-37 regular season record/currently down 3-0 to the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference First Round).
*36-46 record during 2024-25/finished 11th in the West*
(via Phoenix Suns):
“I mean, maybe that perspective is hard to have right now. Yeah, I mean, we have a good group and nobody expected us to be in this position this year. But I think going through the regular season, once we realized what we got, I think our internal expectations and what we thought we could accomplish from this group grew and got even bigger. So we’re not happy with just saying, ‘Hey, we got into the playoffs.’ We were expecting to do more. So, I don’t know. That might be easier to have a more positive perspective after the season is over.”
