Fenerbahce has added one of the EuroLeague’s most accomplished forwards, announcing on Friday the signing of veteran American Will Clyburn to a one-year contract. The 36-year-old joins the reigning Turkish champions after spending the 2025-26 season with FC Barcelona.
Clyburn arrives following another productive EuroLeague campaign. In 31 games for Barcelona, he averaged 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and a 15.1 performance index rating while shooting 45.3% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range. He also contributed 12.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in Liga ACB action.
The move adds significant experience to a Fenerbahce squad that is undergoing major changes after reaching the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four. Fenerbahce finished fourth in the regular season with a 24-14 record before defeating Zalgiris 3-1 in the playoff quarterfinals. Their season ended with a 79-61 semifinal loss to eventual champion Olympiacos.
Clyburn strengthens a roster that has seen several departures this summer. Veterans Nando De Colo, who retired, Devon Hall, Khem Birch, Bonzie Colson, Mikael Jantunen, Tarik Biberovic, Arturs Zagars, Brandon Boston Jr., Armando Bacot, Jilson Bango and Metecan Birsen have all left the club.
Fenerbahce has responded by aggressively reshaping its roster around head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. In addition to Clyburn, the club has signed Shane Larkin, Shavon Shields, Trent Forrest, Braxton Key, Sertac Sanli, Marcus Bingham Jr. and Ignas Sargiunas, giving the team one of the busiest offseasons in Europe.
Clyburn brings an extensive winning résumé. After beginning his professional career with ratiopharm Ulm and later starring for Darussafaka, he emerged as one of Europe’s elite forwards during five seasons with CSKA Moscow. He earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors in 2018-19, led CSKA to the EuroLeague championship that season and was named Final Four MVP. During his time in Moscow, he also won three VTB United League titles.
His success continued after returning to Turkey with Anadolu Efes in 2022. Clyburn averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in the 2022-23 EuroLeague season while helping Efes capture the Turkish League championship. He later won the Italian League title with Virtus Bologna in 2024-25 before joining Barcelona.
Across 208 EuroLeague appearances, Clyburn has consistently produced at a high level. He owns career EuroLeague averages of 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists while demonstrating the versatility to play both forward positions.
