Cooper Flagg diagnosed with mild shoulder sprain after MRI

Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg has been diagnosed with a mild left shoulder sprain following an MRI examination, the team announced.

The small forward will be re-evaluated next week, leaving his immediate availability uncertain as Dallas monitors his recovery.

Flagg sustained the injury during the Mavericks’ recent game against the Indiana Pacers after landing awkwardly on his shoulder following contact with Aaron Nesmith on a drive to the basket.
