The Los Angeles Clippers are moving on from two-way guard Sean Pedulla despite his standout season in the NBA G League. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Clippers have waived Pedulla, ending his brief stint with the organization after he earned G League Rookie of the Year honors.
Pedulla averaged 23.6 points, 6.8 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game during the G League regular season. His production established him as one of the league’s most productive young guards, but it was not enough to secure a roster spot entering the 2026-27 campaign.
Pedulla, 23, saw limited NBA action during the 2025-26 season. Appearing in seven games for the Clippers, he averaged 1.9 points and 0.7 assists in 4.4 minutes per contest while shooting 33.3% from the field and 30.0% from three-point range.
His opportunities at the NBA level were limited by a veteran-heavy backcourt. The Clippers relied on Kris Dunn for all 82 games last season, while Darius Garland arrived midway through the year and averaged 19.9 points and 6.4 assists in 19 appearances after being acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kobe Sanders also emerged as a rotation contributor, averaging 7.3 points while shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc across 68 games.
The move comes during a transformative offseason for the Clippers. After finishing 42-40 and earning a Western Conference Play-In berth before missing the playoffs, the franchise has reshaped its roster around Garland and a younger core.
The organization’s biggest move remains its agreement to trade longtime franchise star Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, multiple first-round picks, second-round selections, and a future pick swap. However, that transaction has not yet been finalized as the NBA continues its investigation into alleged salary cap circumvention involving Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.
The Clippers also added fifth overall pick Keaton Wagler in the 2026 NBA Draft and selected Baba Miller, Nick Martinelli, and Narcisse Ngoy later in the draft as they continue to build for the future.
