Bulls sign Houston Mallette

The Bulls are adding another undrafted prospect after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with former Alabama guard Houston Mallette.

Mallette spent five seasons at the collegiate level, playing three years at Pepperdine before transferring to Alabama for his final two campaigns. A

fter serving as a full-time starter with the Waves, he accepted a smaller role with the Crimson Tide.

He returned from a serious non-basketball injury that sidelined him for much of the 2024-25 season and averaged 6.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 35 appearances during his final year.

The 6-foot-5 guard built a reputation as a dependable perimeter shooter throughout his college career, connecting on 37.2 percent of his three-point attempts while consistently providing floor spacing.

Mallette is expected to participate with Chicago during Summer League before reporting to training camp on his Exhibit 10 agreement.

The deal gives him an opportunity to compete for a two-way contract or continue his development with the Windy City Bulls, Chicago’s G League affiliate, while remaining eligible for the Exhibit 10 bonus if he meets the required conditions.
