Brayden Burries strengthened his case as one of the standout performers of the NBA Summer League after capping off an impressive week in Las Vegas with another outstanding display for the Milwaukee Bucks.
The former Arizona guard, who was selected 10th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, finished Summer League in style by recording 27 points, four rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in Saturday’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
He also delivered the game-winning basket, converting a difficult left-handed layup through contact in the closing moments.
Over four games in Las Vegas, Burries averaged 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block while shooting 50 percent from the field and committing just three turnovers.
The 20-year-old also handled the physical style of Summer League play with ease, despite players being allowed up to 10 personal fouls before fouling out.
Bucks assistant coach Patrick St. Andrews believes Burries’ impact extends well beyond the offensive end of the floor, pointing to both his defensive effort and mature approach to improving his game.
“You can see it,” St. Andrews said of Burries’ composure after his 26-point game against the San Antonio Spurs. “Two-way player. Obviously, the offense, shot it really well, but the defense as well.
“And the cool part is he wants to get better. You can feel it. He’s asking, ‘I need more individual clips. I need more, especially on the defensive end.’ For a young guy to ask, that kind of stuff is impressive.
“Speaking up in the locker room, you can feel his maturity for his age, which is super impressive. And then obviously, you see the talent.”
