Los Angeles Clippers newcomer Brandon Ingram is taking his time to recover before returning to full action.

Head coach Tyronn Lue discussed the situation of the swingman not being ready yet to be back on the floor soon.

“He’s been increasing, he’s been ramping up, He’s doing a lot more, so just seeing him on the floor, that’s a good sign,” Lue told reporters on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old star is currently dealing with a partially torn Achilles and already rehabbing from an offseason surgery in May to address ongoing foot and heel pain.

“It’s still going to take some time, it’s going to be a while, but just seeing him on the floor being able to do certain things has been good to see,” Lue added.

Ingram landed in Los Angeles in September as a major part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kawhi Leonard back to the Toronto Raptors.

The two-time All-Star ended his tenure with the Raptors averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in a total of 77 games last season.
