Former NBA guard Brandon Boston Jr. is returning to European basketball after reaching an agreement with Turkish club Trabzonspor for the remainder of the season.
The 6-foot-6 guard had initially hoped to secure another opportunity in the NBA and reportedly rejected several offers from EuroLeague teams while pursuing that goal.
Boston joined the Chicago Bulls during the preseason but was ultimately waived before the start of the regular season, leaving him without an NBA contract.
Following his departure from Chicago, the 24-year-old decided to continue his professional career overseas, agreeing to join Trabzonspor for the rest of the campaign.
Boston previously spent four seasons in the NBA, representing the Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans.
During that period, he gained experience in different roles as a perimeter scorer and rotational player.
He also has experience playing in Turkey, having spent last season with Fenerbahce.
Boston averaged 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game during his time with the club.
