The Golden State Warriors are currently having another unfortunate offseason.
With falling short of acquiring LeBron James in free agency, Golden State is left with few options to enhance the roster in the upcoming season.
However, it seems that it is not about helping superstar Stephen Curry obtain another championship ring, but rather focusing on the future.
After Draymond Green earned the 12th roster spot and finalized the one-year, $27.7 million extension, Brandin Podziemski can also have a massive payday with the Warriors.
Speaking to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, Podziemski could earn an extension of $18-19 million per year from around $5 million.
“I think the sweet spot would be between that $18-19 million per year range. I personally expect this to be a little bit north of $20 million. Somewhere in that $22-24 million range for Brandin Podziemski annually,” he said.
The 23-year-old guard was drafted in 2023, signing a four-year rookie deal worth $16,239,819, and now has a possibility of a substantial raise.
Podziemski became a major factor for the Warriors, contributing 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in the previous season.
